Founder & Managing Attorney

Tanja Vance

After working for the Sexually Violent Predator Unit at the Attorney General's Office and for a private Seattle law firm, Tanja founded the Magna Law Group, PLLC. With a passion to help those that need fierce legal advocacy the most, Tanja created a thriving Immigration Law and Criminal Defense firm which flourished from its very beginning.

Tanja graduated from the University of Washington in the top of her class with Magna Cum Laude (with high honors) in Middle Eastern Studies and then proceeded to the University of Washington Law School. During her time in law school, Tanja volunteered for the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project (NWIRP) and interned at the Attorney General's Office in the Criminal Justice Division.

As an immigrant herself, who came from Germany in her early 20s, Tanja is passionate about helping other immigrants obtain their American dream. Tanja's focus is on Immigration Reform and to protect those who are at risk of getting lost in a legal system which is not always fair.

Tanja is bilingual in English and German and speaks intermediate levels of French and Arabic.

Tanja is a member of AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association), WACDL (Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers), WDA (Washington Defender Association), WSAJ (Washington State Association for Justice), KCBA (King County Bar Association) and the WSBA (Washington State Bar Association).
